  Harvey J. Field Sr., present manager of Kidd's Shoe Store, came to Medford in 1910 from Hastings, Nebraska, where he received valuable experience in the shoe department of Walback and Brach, and Stines, the largest department and shoe store in that city, He became employed with Mr. Kidd, the owner, in that year, and in 1914, became a member of the firm.

Since then, he has been continuously associated with the store, and has been manager of the firm for many years. He has been active in civic affairs, having served on the city budget committee several times.
